This talk will review the literature and techniques associated with US guided dextrose hydrodissection of common disorders such as carpal tunnel syndrome, ulnar neuropathy at the elbow, meralgia paresthetica, foot drop (fibular neuropathy at the knee), greater occipital nerve, as well as briefly touch upon the use of dextrose injections in the treatment of migraines.
Robert A Schulman, MD is a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He studied medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin, and completed his residence in PMR at Weill College Medical College/The New York Hospital Medical Center. He is a senior Preceptor with the Helms Medical Acupuncture course, and has served as a clinic instructor with the Hacket Hemwall Patterson Foundation service learning missions to Honduras. Dr. Schulman is board certified in PMR, Pain Medicine (ABPMR), Medical Acupuncture (ABMA) and Integrative Medicine (ABPS). He is a Registered Herbalist with the American Herbalist Guild, and the current President of the Sonoma County Medical Association. He currently maintains a solo private practice in Sonoma County, CA where he lives with his husband Jay, his little dog Pickles, and two baby mini-goats Bruce and Snowflake.
