Dr. John Broussard, DO is board certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine as well as in Sports Medicine. He is the co-founder of Alliance Regen and Rehab in downtown St. Petersburg, FL and specializes in enhancing the active patient’s quality of life so that they can thrive with peak performance.

His non-traditional approach can be traced back to residency in 2010 when he began using dextrose prolotherapy instead of steroids to treat pain and injuries, as well as in identifying and optimizing hormone imbalance for overall wellness and vitality.  After completion of his sports medicine fellowship, he joined Regenerative Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Virginia and Washington DC, where he grew his practice and experience for 5 years. In 2020 he and his brother opened Alliance Regen and Rehab, where they provide athletes and active adults effective solutions to quickly overcome injuries and get back to the activities they love without surgery. Dr. Broussard’s functional approach to the active patient using osteopathic manipulation, bioidentical hormone optimization, physical therapy, diagnostic ultrasound and advanced regenerative medicine techniques provides his patients a personalized, integrative option for maximum results in one setting.

Dr. Broussard is a continuous learner and educator at all levels of medicine. He provides skills-based labs and supervises medical students and residents. He has been an instructor for Gulf Coast Ultrasound Institute since 2017 where he teaches basic and advanced ultrasound courses to other physicians across all levels of training and experience for diagnosis as well as in the application of regenerative treatments. His experience extends to Honduras, Mexico and The Galapagos Islands through international medical missions providing prolotherapy treatments to the local population. PART 2! - Dextrose Mechanisms in Prolotherapy and Preineural Injection Therapy: Extrapolations and Conjectures from the Emerging Data

May 21, 2024 - 8:00 PM Eastern US/Canada
Presenter: Dr. Aeneas Janze

PM&R physician Dr. Aeneas Janze will give a captivating presentation that explores the latest insights on how dextrose works as a regenerative and neuromodulatory agent. Many physicians, including Dr. Janze, have traditionally described dextrose prolotherapy in terms of inflammatory or concentration-dependent mechanisms, and perineural injection therapy in terms of its modulation of the TRPV-1 receptor, and more recently as a means to provide energy to nerve cells.  Prepare to shift your understanding however as Dr. Janze guides us through the emerging data that is now beginning to explain some of the more nuanced ways that dextrose affects cartilage, connective tissue, and nerves. Drawing on his 15 years of experience in regenerative medicine, Dr. Janze will also share some of his own observations and ideas that he hopes may shed fresh light on some old problems. Mark your calendars for a presentation that promises to both challenge and expand your understanding of this exciting subject!

Daniel Stickler, M.D. is the Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer of The Apeiron Center for Human Potential and Chief Science Officer for Apeiron Academy. He is the visionary pioneer behind systems-based precision lifestyle medicine, a new paradigm that re-defines medicine from the old symptoms based disease model to one of limitless peak performance in all aspects of life. A physician to high-performing executives and entrepreneurs who want to upgrade their current state, he’s also an author, speaker, blogger and podcaster. He is the Medical Director for the Neurohacker Collective, a Google consultant for wearable technology, epigenetics, and AI in healthcare and a guest lecturer at Stanford University on Epigenetics in Clinical Practice.
He discovered that lifestyle was the key to creating an optimized life and his journey to find the ideal approach to optimizing human potential took him on a path through functional medicine, alternative care, holistic, naturopathic, and age-management medicine. Each modality fell short of the outcome of creating a truly optimized human mainly because they focused on the disease model of treating symptoms as opposed to a model that focuses on human systems, homeostatic balance and optimization. In 2008, a new world opened through the lens of genetics and epigenetics and his near obsession like fascination of the potentials for personalized human systems design led to the realization that we truly have the ability within us to take charge of our destiny and become the architects of our evolution.
